About the Program

Building Resiliency
In Industry

The Wahs Up wellbeing program is an interactive mental health workshop designed to build awareness, reduce stigma, and give you practical tools to recognise, respond to, and manage mental distress — in yourself and those around you.

Drawing on lived experience, evidence-based information, and the power of the Warriors community, we create a safe space where real conversations happen and resilience is built together.

How to Help

Check In —
Catch & Pass

You don't need all the answers. You just need to show up. Here's how to start a conversation that matters:

1
Notice the signs
Trust your gut. If something feels off, it probably is. You've seen the signs — now act on them.
2
Ask directly
Find a quiet moment. "Hey, I've noticed you seem a bit flat lately — you alright?" Keep it simple and genuine.
3
Listen without fixing
You don't need to solve anything. Just hearing them out without judgement is powerful on its own.
4
Catch and pass
If they need more than you can give, that's okay. Help them connect to professional support — you've already done the hardest part.
5
Follow up
Check back in. A simple "Still thinking of you, bro" goes a long way and shows you mean it.

What stops people asking for help?

😔
I'm ashamed
Reaching out takes strength, not weakness. You're not alone in this.
🤝
I don't want to be a burden
The people who care about you want to know. Keeping it in is harder on everyone.
🔤
I can't explain how I feel
You don't need the right words. "I'm not doing great" is enough to start.
